Christian de Kersaint-Gilly was shot twice in the chest on his estate in Brittany. Dispatched to the scene of the tragedy, Captain Marleau came to suspect the wife of the deceased, Joséphine de Kersaint-Gilly. Indeed, Christian had just sold part of their property to two ambitious men: Étienne Quemener and his partner, Vincent Salmon. Both intend to transform the small, highly picturesque fishing town into a luxury marina. This ultra-modern place is supposed to attract a hand-picked clientele, to make it a fashionable holiday resort.

Étienne Quemener and Vincent Salmon do not only covet the Kersaint-Gilly estate. The two sinister characters are also interested in the shed where Cécile Prigent, Étienne's sister, stores her trawler. Despite the imbalance of power, Cécile is ready to fight at all costs to save her property and resist the marina project. But when her daughter, Gwen, is found dead, obviously murdered, Cécile understands that some people will stop at nothing to achieve their ends. For her part, Joséphine, trapped, must resign herself with a heavy heart to sign the deed of sale of the estate.
