As the episode starts, Yami is calling out for the rest of the gang, trying in vain to warn them how dangerous this new world they've arrived in is. Hearing growling noises, he looks around when he's suddenly attacked by a Trent. As he hops around, avoiding blows, the strange armlet he's wearing pops open. Realising what it's for, he places the capsule that he gained in the previous episode in and fires it, summoning Celtic Guardian to defend him.

As the episode starts, Joey is complaining about the placement of the river in front of them and how they won't make it to the Fortress of Fear in time. Solomon suggests that they could jump in and swim across. Tea disagrees, not knowing what might be lurking there. Yugi walks in saying he's searched the area, not finding anyway boat-like. Joey goes on to say they need to find something, lest they lose their way home when the sun sets. Tristan calls the others from the entrance of the temple, saying how the rest of them have to see what he's found. He found a pathway under one of the floor tiles of the temple that may lead under the river.

As Yugi opens his eyes, the camera pans around to show a desert setting. Joey wonders as to what they're going to do next, Tea saying how standing around won't help, Tristan agreeing. Yugi thinks back to the riddle, wondering what it meant about the 5 tests. Solomon collapses to his knees, but saying he'll be fine. Tea uses Happy Lover's healing ability to help Solomon feel better, though he still feels like he's too old. A flashback occurs, showing the battle between Summoned Skull and Rock Spirit. Tea suggests they find somewhere to rest, and Tristan makes a sarcastic remark. Joey agrees with Tea, running off to find some shade or an oasis, only to slide unexpectedly down a dune. After the others rush to find him, Joey notices a bunch of tents on the horizon.

The camera pans a little across a mountain range, not a cloud in the sky. Joey in the background asks why the sun is so strong. After a little banter, Joey turns round and realises they're about the clouds. It seems the gang is on a floating island. Joey asks how they get off... Tea thinks they just need to pass the test. Yugi collapses again and everyone rushes to his aid. Tristan says that he needs a doctor, but Solomon says they have better than that and they decide to use Happy Lover's effect again.

Tristan is complaining about all they've been through so far. As he finishes talking, the floor beneath his foot collapses, Joey and Solomon catching him from almost certain doom. Solomon says to just do as he does, the floor breaking out from under him as he says it. The others pull the 2 up. Solomon complains that he needs a vacation, Tea stating that this WAS supposed to be a vacation and that she wants out. Yugi says the only way out is to win the game, Joey piping in about going to find a clue. Tristan quips about Joey's notable cluelessness, but Tea says they should support him as things have always worked out in the end. Yugi reminds them about how much of what they've done so far has been thanks to Joey. Yugi wonders about who made this game-world they're in as Yami appears in spirit form, saying how he thinks they'll find out in the final stages.

The episode begins with Tea exclaiming how incredible the new area is: a gigantic tropical forest full of fruit-bearing trees. Solomon has also spotted something incredible: Joey eating twice his weight in tropical fruit. Yugi remarks that the Joey is a self-proclaimed food freak, and Tristan notes that as long as he's eating he can't talk, but Joey protests that even though he's eating he can still hear. As he bites into another banana, however, it transforms into the next riddle: "Choose the apple that gives you a raise And offer it up in the secret maze."

After the previous episode the gang find themselves exactly where they started in the beginning of the adventure, but Yugi says that it would make sense that the exit would be where they started. The mysterious masked man in his vision appears, and identifies himself as King Alexander the Great. He explains how he entered the Capsule Monsters world through Shadi. He tells of how he once possessed a Millennium item, the Millennium Ring.

Glory is short lived as the Fiendish Five combines into one Giant Dragon! Grandpa informs them that it can only be beat with Light Monsters, so Tea and Tristan are the only ones able to fight. However, they are easily beaten. The little girl then goes to pray to the Divine Dragon for help. The Dragon responds and it turns out to be none other than the Blue-Eyes White Dragon! The Pharaoh fuses with Blue-Eyes and with both the power of Blue-Eyes and the Sword of Divinity, he manages to defeat the Fiendish Five and complete the final trial. Before the celebrations can began, Yugi and the others find out that Alex Brisbane is actually the Dark Side of Alexander The Great, and they must return to the real world and stop him from ruling the world!

Shadi tells everyone that they must compete in the final task to prove who is the true king and deserves the power. The task is an all out Capsule Monsters war! Yugi, Joey, Tea, Tristan, and Grandpa vs. Alex and his followers. The war doesn’t seem to go either way, until Alex scarifies all of his followers and their monsters to summon the Seven-Armed Fiend. The fiend seems unstoppable, and releases a bunch of little zombie warriors. The fiend is beating everybody no matter what they try. When the monster targets Grandpa, Thunder Kid, Baby Dragon, and Happy Lover step in to protect him and ends up being destroyed. Alex then reveals that his fiend can read minds, which is why they can’t stop them. To make matters worse, the zombies manage to overwhelm and destroy Flame Swordsman! Then using the power of the Millennium Puzzle, the Pharaoh manages to stop Alex’s mind-reading powers! Will this power be able to help him defeat Seven-Armed Fiend and Alex?

Even though they have defeated the Seven-Armed Fiend, Alex’s followers manage to destroy Tristan’s Shovel Crusher and Tea’s Dark Witch. The Pharaoh comes up with a plan, Joey and the others will attack the other monsters while he attacks Reshef. However, Reshef has more power than Yugi thought. To make matters worse, Alex sacrifices his minions’ monsters to power-up Reshef! Then, Alex attacks everyone, and continues to try and attack them. The Pharaoh uses all of his monsters to protect his friends against their wills. Then, as Alex attacks Yugi, his friends’ dragons come to help him, combining with his Duel Armor to form the Armor of Unity! Can this new armor help Yugi to beat Alex and save the world from his wrath?
