Part One of ‘Wandering Wolves’ follows the renowned biologist Francesca Marucco and other experts on the trail of an Italian nomad wolf on his way to the French Maritime Alps. Die erstaunliche Geschichte von drei Wanderwölfen findet ihre Fortsetzung mit der Geschichte des deutschen Wanderwolfs Alan. Er war 2010 von der Lausitz aus Richtung Osten gestartet. Das ist zumindest die Vermutung der deutschen Wolfsexpertin Ilka Reinhardt, die die Route von Alan zusammen mit ihrem Hund Jacques noch einmal nachvollzieht. Ihre Reise endet schließlich im Grenzdreieck Polen-Litauen-Weißrussland. Dort sind Alans GPS-Signale verstummt.
