Spoiler: It is.
As far as we can tell, this is still the de-facto way to play this game, especially for multiplayer. However it is still possible to play this game on modern systems, and have it work quite well. We may have a future video about running the game on newer machines, but for the time being, Windows 98 is where it's at.

I take an in-depth (perhaps too in-depth) look at a dedicated speech synthesis computer from Arkenstone. I bought this back in 2010 for around $200 on eBay. I've been wanting to make a video about this computer since then, but I've always hesitated on starting the project because it's really dry subject matter which only reminds me of the frustration of programming DecTalk for singing using MS-DOS. Here's the video anyway, detailing everything there is to know about this machine. If i can ever get it's original hard disk working and bootable, ill showcase the Windows 3.11 DecTalk tools. ... Everything went better than expected.
I also have trouble pronouncing graphics card names.
Copypasta from Wickerpeads:
The third series of Bigfoot drives was known as the Quantum Bigfoot TX series. This series increased the drives' spindle speed to 4,000 RPM and upgraded their interface capabilities to ATA-66. These drives carried the higher capacities of 4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB. Like the CY series, access time was advertised as under 12 ms. The 12 GB model is noteworthy for being the first hard drive to attain a capacity in the double digits of gigabytes. Quantum claimed that these drives could outperform many of the 3.5-inch drives on the market at the time.

From what I've learned, ReactOS is intended to mimic Windows Server 2003/NT 5.1 and newer versions of directX are supposedly supported. I avoided newer games to avoid the long install times (ie doom 3, call of duty etc) Since they probably wouldn't end up working. The downside is i ended up trying most of the games from the Win9x era which ReactOS is not intended to replicate. So oh well. Also this video is pretty boring (since it is quite difficult to even get the simplest of things working, and takes a long time) and sorta makes ReactOS look kinda bad (it's VERY incomplete) which is not really my intention, i think the ReactOS project is awesome as hell and i wish the developers much luck in their endeavors.

I have enough old footage to create probably a total of 4 or 5 episodes for you guys, but this is one of two that were fully edited and previously uploaded (and later removed, of course).
In this episode, I try to get audio working on an IBM Aptiva 550 running Windows 98. Then I get some asinine idea to downgrade the processor to one that won't fit. Luckily that doesn't happen in this episode. (This was the originally edited footage).

If you thought the last episode was bad, just you wait! This is the second episode in a multi-part series that .. well only had 2 episodes uploaded, this being the second one. I have a lot of old footage still, so I might make some funny edits to the old footage that was intended to be serious later on.
In this episode I really lose track of what I'm doing. So basically like every normal Druaga1 episode. I go from trying to downgrade the processor to defragmenting the hard disk, then partitioning the drive for dual booting windows 3.11 and 98. Basically a bunch of random stuff that didn't end up working (or at least it was never shown). Currently, the next teased episode never really existed (unless you count The Ultimate DOS Machine as an episode (that video was released in July) I was speaking quietly in the beginning of the video because it was late and I was supposed to be in bed.

I apparently tried to download a keygen and it just deleted itself on launch, I assumed this to be a virus (it probably was some form of trojan) I then proceeded to download random stuff that seemed suspicious/scary/DOS (DOS is scary and suspicious) in an effort to infect the machine as fast as possible. This didn't pan out and I ended up creating the footage for the original "How to mess up windows me" video, by deleting a bunch of stuff from the windows folder.

Happy Halloween! Get ready for some spoops.
I put extra effort into this one both to finally address my history with 3D Body Adventure, and to sorta semi celebrate 60k subs, thanks guys!
3d body adventure is devoid of any escapism or humor(save for the Body Recall victory cartoon), it is a bleak, hopeless and stressful experience that is unfriendly to a child audience.
It also currently holds 0 educational value due to all of it's information being 20+ years out of date.
There is a special circle of hell for people who are forced to edit 3D body videos. You might say i went to hell and back to make this.

In the naming scheme used at that time, Apple indicated the presence of a 68030 processor by adding the letter "x" to a model's name, but when the Macintosh SE was updated to the 68030, this posed an awkward problem, as Apple was not willing to name their new computer the "Macintosh SEx". Thus, "SE/30" was the name chosen.

This is a music video that celebrates all the fun i had LAN party-ing CNC late into the night with my high school buddies a decade ago.
Ten years ago this month I uploaded "Command and Conquer: Kane's Spam" which was a terribly low quality, laggy clip video of all my FRAPS recordings of CnC:KW put to Granite by Pendulum. It was so bad, I even re-made the video in iMovie (which had HD support or something) a year or so later. I was hoping to make that my first HD video on Youtube, but the actual source footage was only 480p. So it wasn't really HD.
A decade later, I came across the original raw FRAPS footage again and tried to see if i could re-edit the old videos more precisely using my modern editing software. Some inspiration happened and I decided to re-create all the footage, the song itself and put in my own parody lyrics using DecTalk.
A video where I go in depth with the production process behind Kane's Spam, which took 3 months and 6 very different pieces of software to complete. Videos sometimes take a long time to make.
