The Rough with the Smooth

Harry has been invited to be the guest of honour at the annual dance of the firm where he used to work. As he has often reminisced about his amorous adventures there, Richard goes as well.

Harry becomes rather peeved when the lovely Leonie rejects his romantic advances, but encourages Richard's. He hatches a little plan to get his own back but events take an unexpected turn.

With and Veronica is a lovely, charming girl - but she is also fairly intellectual, and Harry is somewhat in awe of taking her out. However, once he's persuaded his bright friend, Richard, to assist him the prospect looks far less daunting.

When Richard and Harry find themselves obliged to invite Mervyn Thackeray and his geologist sister round to dinner, it looks as if they're in for an exceptionally boring evening. But you can never tell, can you?

We all like to receive unexpected presents and Richard and Harry are no exception. However, it is rather awkward when they dont know who it's from or indeed for which one of them it was intended!
