Four animal moms -- lion Maya, meerkat Swift, dog Brumby, and elephant Bisa -- reach the most challenging moment of their pregnancies – birth. Brumby has a human midwife on hand to help deliver her pups, but Maya is alone as she protects her newborn cubs from hyenas. Swift’s sisters and daughters help usher her kits into the world. And while Bisa is surrounded by family as well, she faces 48 hours of extreme labor before she can welcome her calf into the herd.
