The Pilot. When Adam's ex-girlfriend Corri moves back to Holliston, he is devastated to learn that she has a boyfriend (Kevin) who is successful, gorgeous, wealthy, and everything that Adam is not. In an effort to prove to Corri that he too has moved on, Adam follows the horrible advice of his imaginary alien friend Oderus and hires a hooker to pose as his girlfriend on a double date with Corri and Kevin. As the date goes down in flames, Adam calls upon Joe to help get him out of his disastrous situation.

When they can't afford a front-of-the-line "gold pass", Joe pretends to be disabled in order to skip the three hour long wait.
