Francis Brennan’s Grand Tour South Africa

Francis Brennan takes twelve paying tourists on the surprise trip of a lifetime. In tonight’s programme Francis’s guests meet up at Dublin airport and their mystery destination is revealed – South Africa - and after a 19 hour flight he gets straight down to business taking them to on a tribal tour.

Francis' group visits South Africa's capital, Pretoria, and the country's most famous township, Soweto, where he asks for two volunteers to do a 70 metre freefall.

Francis is determined his charges see the 'Big Five' African animals, and takes them out to the remote Sibuya Game Reserve, where they sleep under canvas.

The group drive down the 'Garden Route' along SA's south-western coast, first stopping at Tsitsikamma National Park before visiting a rehabilitation centre for injured animals.

Francis and guests hit Cape Town, having a picnic atop Table Mountain. They also visit Robben Island prison, where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years.

The tour ends with a trip around the Cape Peninsula, a visit to the Langa township, and encounters with penguins and sharks. Last in the series.
