Billy excitedly devours his curry and Ai takes notice of Kazuki, while Mitsuhiro keeps a close eye on the scene and Maya watches them all with a thoughtful expression. Three new pilots have been chosen: Mikado Reo, Kaburagi Sui, and Mikagami Mimika, third-year students at Tatsumiyajima Middle School and juniors to Kazuki and the other pilots. They have received more advanced genetic manipulation than the previous pilots, and each has unique strengths. Hazama Yuuko and Canon prepare their mechs, but the new pilots are dissatisfied with their colors and names... The Alvis top brass are searching for the place the Esperantos chose for the new settlement. There's a chance it may be occupied by the enemy, but out of respect to the Esperantos' wishes, they're determined to take it back if that is the case. Meanwhile, in the Tatsumiyajima burg, progress is being made with the improvement of the Zero Fafner. After making contact with Mitsuhiro, the enemy core plots to win over the commander who seized Australia's habitable zone, and the commander is actually influenced by the core's words. On Tatsumiyajima, Miwa is once again attempting to communicate with Altair, but it isn't going well. Later, as the final battle draws near, a long-planned coming-of-age ceremony is held for Kazuki, Soushi, Maya, Kenji, Sakura, and Kouyou, in which Fumihiko grants them official status as Alvis personnel.
