Taking their name from a Velvet Underground deep cut, The Black Angels have updated psych rock for our disillusioned era. 2022 album Wilderness of Mirrors twists guitar sounds into new shapes, confronting global social and political unrest with dark, droning euphoria.

Dry Cleaning's second album Stumpwork lets the light in after the dry deadpan post-punk of their debut. Vocalist Florence Shaw's delivery explores new juxtapositions and new emotions, showing the group can be fun and yet deadly serious, angular and opaque but always generous while sifting through the surreal humour of the everyday.
