Hu Bayi, Shirley Yang, and Fatty Wang formed the Iron Triangle of the Mojin Xiaowei and finalized their tomb-hunting expedition to Yunnan. After attending a farewell banquet, they packed up and set off, leaving behind Big Gold Tooth and the elderly Blind Chen to hold down the fort. According to their plan, the trio disguised themselves as staff from a natural history museum and boarded a train under the pretense of collecting butterfly specimens. Before long, they arrived in Kunming and continued their journey deeper into the region.

After bidding farewell to the peacock, the Iron Triangle of Mojin, full of determination, headed straight for Zhelong Mountain. Passing through the forest behind the village, the trio divided their tasks—cutting bamboo and building a raft. Once they were all geared up in protective equipment, they boarded the raft one by one, setting up lights at the front for visibility. Thus began their waterborne journey, codenamed "Operation Butterfly."

With a "do or die" determination, Fatty Wang paddled furiously toward the shore. Some of the piranhas had been injured, and the scent of blood drove the rest into a frenzy—they turned on each other, tearing their companions apart in a brutal cannibalistic frenzy. This gave the trio a brief respite from the attack. Seizing the opportunity, Shirley Yang used the Flying Tiger Claw to hook onto the rocks at the cave entrance. With help from Hu Bayi and Fatty Wang, they desperately hauled the bamboo raft toward the shore. Just as they reached safety, the raft’s ropes snapped completely, and their gear scattered across the water’s surface. Risking his life, Hu Bayi dove in to retrieve the equipment, skillfully dodging the snapping jaws of the fish and narrowly escaping danger.

After a series of perilous and intense encounters, several owls were startled by the blinding light of the flares and vanished into the darkness without a trace. The massive banyan tree, with roots once deep and sturdy, could no longer withstand the trio’s relentless struggle and soon split apart and collapsed. Fortunately, none of them were seriously harmed. By this time, dawn had broken, and the surrounding environment gradually came into view. To Hu Bayi’s astonishment, at the point where the tree had fractured, there lay a coffin—glowing with a blood-red hue, its surface resembling crystal or jade, gleaming from the inside out.

With the entrance and exit of the valley sealed off by a thick white miasma, the Iron Triangle of Mojin had no choice but to follow the map in search of a hidden passageway—constructed by those before them as a means to escape the poisonous fog. Meanwhile, Zhalong had already been severely affected by the toxins; his right eye had gone blind. According to the traditions of his tribe, if the infected eye wasn’t removed in time, the poison would soon spread through his body—threatening his very life.

The corpse in the Mountain God Temple turned out to be Shirley Yang’s long-lost father—something she never expected. As she calmed herself and prepared for his burial, she noticed an unusual stone marked with serpent-like patterns. When Hu Bayi touched it, a hidden mechanism suddenly activated.

Though the villagers revered the Mountain God, Hu Bayi’s tricks didn’t fool the elder chieftain. In the chaos, the group managed to escape and activated a hidden mechanism to enter a secret passage before their pursuers arrived. The villagers tried to break through the sealed stone gate with wooden stakes, but their efforts were in vain.

After a brief rest, the trio waded deeper into the cave. Not far in, Hu Bayi noticed countless floating corpses on the water’s surface—a chilling sight. At the same time, the villagers entered the cave as well, nearly falling off a cliff, but fortunately, no one was hurt.

Hu Bayi used all his strength to help Fatty Wang and Shirley Yang onto the plank road, but he himself fell off the cliff. Luckily, a deep pool at the bottom cushioned his fall, sparing his life. Meanwhile, the cliff’s broken insect path temporarily halted the pursuit of the parasitic creatures. The Iron Triangle climbed higher, spotting a funnel-shaped terrain in the Insect Valley. To their surprise, they saw a palace emerging from the clouds, its shape resembling the one they had seen in the Zhenling map.

The Iron Triangle reached the rear hall of the Heavenly Palace, where a six-legged bronze cauldron sat in the center of the hall. Shirley Yang deduced it was used for sacrificial ceremonies to cook bodies for offerings. As Hu Bayi and Fatty Wang prepared to open the cauldron’s seal, a sudden, piercing woman’s scream echoed around them.

At the critical moment, Ada appeared just in time to save Hu Bayi and the others, knowing they weren't after treasure but had a deeper reason for entering the Insect Valley. The elder chieftain, enraged, vomited blood and died, causing the other villagers to panic. Hu Bayi thanked Ada for his timely rescue and decided to lead the villagers out.
