The successful businessman Dāvis, after an effort, suffers a heart attack and is taken to a hospital, where he meets an old man who, inspired, wants to move to the countryside and start a new life. His decisions infuriate his beloved Teresa, but that doesn't stop Dave from leaving the city behind and going to Skaistkalni. Girlfriends Krista, Santa and Rita go to the employment center. They still don't have a job, but then Rita has an idea how to solve the unemployment problem. One day they leave Riga to open a guest house in Saistkalns.
