A year has passed since the public release of the world’s most successful virtual reality game, TOME…and a certain group of brave players have been through an incredible experience during even just a portion of that time. To celebrate, the creators of TOME at Netking Software have chosen to throw a special anniversary event taking place in the ;Sanctuary region. Players from all over the world gather together, hoping to win a contest with a spectacular opportunity as the prize! Little does the game’s populous know…that a dangerous threat is still looming on the horizon.

After winning a contest in celebration of TOME’s 1-Year Anniversary, Gamecrazed has brought our heroes along for more than just a simple sidequest! The heroes who defended the Terrain of Magical Expertise against an unseen threat now have the honor of doing battle with the creators of the game: five gifted programmers who call themselves the “Netkings”. Alpha triumphs over the first of their numerous opponents, but as the fight continues on through the Netkings’ realm in the virtual sun, mysteries of our heroes’ previous trials and tribulations may just unravel. The truth hurts, more than ever.

After a triumphant victory over the "Challenge of the Netkings", our heroes were shocked to learn that the dangerous "Forbidden Power" that has so heavily affected their lives since joining TOME...might in fact be a threat directly tied to the creators of the game! Alpha and the others, left with a thousand more important questions, are expelled from the Heavens of Magical Expertise and are greeted, the next day, to a collection of dark clouds made to hide out the newly-uncovered virus from the public eye...but they know the truth. Suddenly, some major new information is presented to the group that could change everything. Can our heroes band together and put a damper on their enemy's plans!?

With new information in hand, our heroes team up with their former enemy, Neomutant, to infiltrate the headquarters of D-Buggers.org in TOME's moon. With the Forbidden Power still a very real threat, Alpha and the others are seeking to finally put an end to the hackers' supposed plan to seize this dangerous virus...but what is it Zetto and Kizuna are TRULY planning? With security in place to combat the infiltration team and the Netkings doing what they can to prevent a second incident, it's becoming a race against time for every player still logged in! Those with their deepest ties to the world of TOME are about to come face to face with something horrifying.

TOME, the virtual game world that so many have grown to cherish...has become the stage for a race against time to save a human life. With our heroes dropping one by one off the map, only one is left standing, broken and lost...Alpha, is the last hope to fix everything. Zetto and Kizuna's plans have fallen apart, due to some unforeseen circumstances with the dangerous virus and antivirus programs, now in the form of two monsters seeking to erase each other. There are many mysteries yet to be unraveled, but the answers behind them will lead to the end of a long journey for the creators, the players...and the very heart of the Terrain of Magical Expertise.
