In The Bridge, 12 Danes fight for half a million kroner in the middle of the Swedish forest. The prize is on an island - and to reach it, they must build a 250-meter-long bridge with their bare hands in just 15 days. Only by collaborating can they reach their goal, but only one will emerge as the winner. The physical challenge is just the beginning - because who can you really trust when the battle for the money begins?

Two must go on the first mission. And Jon, as leader, must choose whom he trusts. He doesn't know that for those chosen, there awaits a dilemma that could have serious consequences. Meanwhile, the team is hopelessly behind. Only four meters of the bridge are finished, although by this point they should have built a minimum of 45. And then panic spreads as a boat suddenly approaches the camp - because who is coming?

The power struggle is on. The appointment of Mirza as temporary leader creates division, and alliances form. A flare leaves the group and especially the two newcomers in shock, and soon a teammate must say goodbye to the camp and the battle for the half a million. The crucial collaboration is threatened, and the bridge construction is so hopelessly behind that the goal of ever reaching the island seems impossible.

The team is under massive pressure. Almost half of the time has passed, and only 38 meters have been built on the 250-meter-long bridge. The hard work is further burdened by a heatwave, and the 13 teammates begin to truly pay the price both physically and mentally. New conflicts threaten the community - and then a catastrophic problem arises when it turns out that large parts of the bridge are falling apart.

The battle for the half a million is drawing closer. With just 76 meters to the island, the goal is now within reach - and while for some, it ignites dreams of what the big cash prize can be used for, others are busy building alliances before the grand finale. Another flare shakes the team once again as three must volunteer to go on a mission - but not everyone will return to the camp.

The team wakes up to a shocking sight. 15 meters of bridge lie smashed in the lake, and with only two days left, the dream of reaching the island dry suddenly seems impossible. The desperate situation stirs up emotions in the camp, and while some try to keep up the fighting spirit, others are ready to throw in the towel – but Jack will do anything to not give up the fight for the half a million.
