Every month, the team led by 33-year-old Thijs and 26-year-old Rachel, along with around twenty colleagues in plainclothes and uniform, clears the streets of the Red Light District. Street robbers, pickpockets, and drug dealers are caught red-handed, arrested, and processed, with Ewout Genemans joining them. The 28-year-old Jan and 31-year-old Lieke patrol emergency response together, answering 112 calls. This time, they receive a report about a man threatening his girlfriend.

The 28-year-old Ilona and 36-year-old Tamara have truly "seen it all" while responding to 112 calls from the dispatch center. They are trained to "de-escalate," but when necessary, they can absolutely hold their ground. This is evident when they respond to reports of an Audi driving through Amsterdam with a driver allegedly carrying a weapon and possibly firing along the way. Meanwhile, 28-year-old Jan and 31-year-old Lieke are forced to draw their weapons when a man threatens his ex.

During the Champions League semifinal between Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur, all officers from Bureau Burgwallen are on duty. And it's not just them—the riot police platoons, with over 750 officers, are also deployed. British supporters, after all, have a notorious reputation.

A documentary series in which Ewout Genemans closely follows the officers of Bureau Burgwallen. From the station, in the patrol car, and after intense arrests or confrontations, he captures their work up close.

On King's Day, every available officer from Bureau Burgwallen is on duty, as Amsterdam anticipates hundreds of thousands of visitors. Jan and Lieke are tasked with finding a boy in an orange sweater who allegedly stole a bag. Mayor Halsema invites Jan and Lieke for a conversation after both suffered concussions a few months earlier during an arrest.

On the fourth floor of Bureau Burgwallen is the city’s undercover team. Twelve officers from various neighborhood teams collaborate as part of the so-called "target group team." They work undercover daily in the city center to combat street crime. Ewout Genemans is allowed to join them during Gay Pride as they deploy decoy phones.

The two minutes of silence during Remembrance Day on the Dam is the tensest moment of the year for many officers from Bureau Burgwallen. Nine years ago, the "Dam screamer" disrupted the silence, resulting in dozens of injuries. Ewout Genemans is present and observes how the police work to ensure that the commemoration proceeds with dignity.

Amsterdam has between 500 and 1,000 homeless people. It’s common for officers to be called out for disturbances caused by homeless individuals. The community officers from Bureau Burgwallen make every effort to get the homeless into shelters or encourage them to return to their home countries. Ewout Genemans joins Jan and Lieke once again for a weekend shift. Until dawn, they are tasked with sending intoxicated people out of the city center.
