Edson Montenegro was a Brazilian actor and singer. Edson showed an interest in art and music at the age of seven, playing the accordion for guests at his home. Together with her sisters, she formed a musical trio where she sang under the supervision of her mother, a chorister at the local church. Years later, he began his classes in musical perception, theory and choral singing at the Villa Lobos Institute in Rio de Janeiro. In the 1980s, he came to the city of São Paulo and did a year of bel canto at Faculdade Alcântara Machado (FMU), where he realized that his artistic vein belonged to other areas. He graduated in Performing Arts from the School of Dramatic Art at the University of São Paulo (USP). He acted in several soap operas and series, such as Antônio Alves, Taxista, Xica da Silva, Dona Flor and Seus Dois Maridos, in the film Cidade de Deus, more recently in Cúmplices de um Resgate and Apocalipse. In addition to his acting career, he also dedicated himself to music, being a singer.
