A burglary investigation causes Det. Curtis to become involved in the strange affair of a blind sharpshooter and his lovely niece, whom he uses as a 'guide dog'. She eventually tries to escape from the situation and forms an attachment to Curtis, but he cannot really help because of her confused nature.
