Lined by some of the world's finest museums and dotted with monuments to the country's most revered figures, the Mall presents an image so timeless and eternal it's easy for visitors to forget that the landscape is actually man-made. This special brings the surprising story of the Mall's birth and evolution to a national audience, using a mixture of contemporary and archival footage, state-of-the-art graphics and rare fly-over aerials.
