Robert Hardy plays Sir Winston Churchill in this partly dramatised documentary – shown to mark the 50th anniversary of his death – about how he turned around Britain's fortunes during World War Two. It focuses on 1940, when our Army was being defeated at Dunkirk and a Nazi invasion seemed imminent. Archive footage and Churchill's speeches are woven into the drama, which also features Jemma Redgrave and Phil Davis.
