Joe is approaching 70 years old. He will lose his pilot license unless he passes the medical exam. He decides to fly to California and do his check up. Meanwhile, two rampies who have worked in Buffalo's ramp for 9 months get a chance to do a check ride on a DC-3. But things may not go to plan as one of the rampies got food poisoning on the day of the check ride. The McBryan family ordered a birthday cake for Joe. The only problem? Joe is still in California on the day of his birthday and contemplating his future.
