Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald joined the Mormon tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square for the 2004 Christmas Concert in the Salt Lake Conference Center. She is a wonderful cross-over artist who is classically trained and consistently demonstrates great vocal technique and consummate artistry. She regaled the audience “Sweet Little Jesus Boy,” “I Wonder as I Wander,” and “Children Go Where I Send Thee” as well as joining with the Choir for holiday favorites “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Deck the Halls.” Veteran movie and television star Peter Graves, best known for his role in the series Mission Impossible, joined the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square in 2004 for the celebrated Christmas concert. He presented a memorable narration of "In Search of the King" based on story by Henry Van Dyke as well as reading the Christmas story from the New Testament.
