Winter has descended on the Smoky Mountains, but the four ginseng-hunting teams go up against the elements to prove that they won't come home empty-handed. With the end of ginseng season nearing, the price of the root is skyrocketing. Diggers are desperate to make their season goals, even if it means compromising allegiances. The teams challenge each other to keep going as they venture into some of the most isolated corners of North Carolina to fill their pockets with ginseng root.
