John wanted to know if his CompUSA extended warranty that he purchase for his laptop will still be valid in light of the companies decision to close all its stores. From what we understand CompUSA through TAP will honor all of its extended warranties. For more information checkout CompUSA's Consumer Help Questions. • Gordon and a half dozen other viewers took us to task over Synergy's ability to share multiple screens. While Synergy does allows sharing of keyboard and mouse it will not share a screen. Many Mea Culpa's on my behalf. I was thinking incorrectly of the way I use VNC over a local area network and conflated the two. • Belkin's Network USB Hub is a great way to share USB devices like printers, scanners and storage devices across multiple machines. Although not compatible with more unique USB devices all my storage devices, printer and scanner at home work well. The biggest strikes against it are its current Windows only support and 10/100 network interface. • Larry commented: "Roger, you are right to question the new 4 GIG reporting in Vista SP1. It only reports the amount of RAM in the computer, not the amount of RAM available to the operating system. This update is apparently for people who are not advanced users.
