If you're spaceflight buff, robot fanatic or just like cool aerospace technology you won't want to miss this. • Finally we had a question from Reverend Mark about the differences between the original TiVo Series3 HD DVR (digital video recorder) and the newer TiVo HD DVR - a recent TiVo software update has added TiVoToGo to the HD DVRs. Robert agreed with Mark's observation about the price difference between the two DVRs - online pricing for the Series3 is about $550 and the standard HD DVR costs about $250. Compared to the TiVo HD DVR, the Series3 provides slightly more hard drive storage space for recording shows, an OLED front display, and a fully backlit remote control. The Series3 is also the first (and only) DVR to be THX certified that helps insure optimal sound and video quality. Both HD DVRs provide HDMI and component video output, two CableCARD slots for dual-tuning functionality, and integrated over-the-air (OTA) digital tuners. Robert also mentioned
