Herman Lindquist tells the story of Hedvig Taube (1714-1744), who at the age of just 16 became the royal mistress of Frederick I. She was made a mistress with elegant floors and great courtship, a Swedish counterpart to the royal mistresses in Versailles. During this time, among other things, the great Daldansen breaks out, when rebellious valley men march towards Stockholm.
