He goes on a tour of some captivatingly colourful gardens, visiting Miriam Rothschild's wildflower meadow, the medieval meads at Tretower Court in Powys, and a garden in Hampshire that has been restored according to its original 1908 planting scheme, designed by Gertrude Jekyll.
