Yawara retries her false tooth for Sayaka and tells her that she’s had fun and be glad to fight her again, and this time Sayaka doesn’t brush her off. Shinnosuke is happy because he thinks he does not have to marry Sayaka and can pursue Yawara without losing his position with the rich Honami family. Tamao tells Yawara that Kojiro came by and left, saying that he is taking a job in France as a judo coach and will send them his address soon, that he is “not hiding anymore.” At Sayaka’s 2000-person “victory” banquet, no one shows up, and Sayaka delusionally believes she actually won.
