The Nazis labelled Jews as so-called ‘subhumans’. Through systematic exclusion, registration and isolation, they were stripped of everything: work, possessions and freedom of movement. The occupying forces sought, in a cunning manner, to drive a wedge between Dutch society. All of this had a single aim: the complete extermination of the Jewish community.
