In Europe, Heinrich Himmler has decided to annihilate outright the Jews of the Polish labor camps. He orders Friedrich Wilhelm Kruger, head of the SS and the police in occupied Poland, to direct the extermination. He subsequently passes down the orders to Jakob Sporrenberg, who organizes the Akton Erntefest (Operation Harvest Festival), the killing of all the Jews from the Lublin district.
