The Daniel family were raised on the vicious, poverty-stricken streets of Glasgow in the years after shipbuilding had declined, with Jamie locked in murderous and bloody feud with a rival gang, the likes of which Glasgow had never seen before. Torture and killings by the Daniels' feared enforcer Kevin `Gerbil' Carroll led to tit-for-tat shootouts as the rivals fought for control of Glasgow's drugs trade.
