Devastated by her inability to prove her innocence, Carolina receives words of encouragement from Mother Gustava, who invites her to focus on the convent's activities to ease her anguish. Sara assures Carlos that she will fully support his son's recovery and warns him that she will no longer doubt him, despite the story he told Sister Celeste. The lawyer breaks into the convent and reveals to Carolina that the cyber investigator has disappeared along with all the evidence; without this information, all seems lost and despair takes over. Devastated by the terrible news, Carolina tries to escape the convent but faints; upon learning this, Celeste immediately travels to protect and comfort her sister.
