However, Moisés senses something is wrong with his friend and doesn't hesitate to offer his friendship. Carlos threatens Carolina with turning her in to the police if she refuses to let him reunite with his son. She asks Father Gabriel to fetch Andrés so his father can see him. Juanita is convinced that it was Padilla who spoke to Carlos to reveal Carolina and Andrés's whereabouts, so when she sees him face to face, she slaps him for being a traitor. Celeste arrives at Óscar's ranch to warn him that she has no intention of abandoning her religious vocation to start a life with him.
