Carolina, realizing she can't afford the 30,000 pesos, asks Detective Padilla for a two-week extension, since by selling her house in Mexico City, she can give him double the requested amount so she won't reveal the truth to Carlos. Detective Padilla contacts Carlos to confirm that his son Andrés and Carolina traveled to Chiapas and assures him he's gaining Juanita's trust to get more details. Juanita confronts Hugo about the damage to the school, but he assures her he did it to delay the school's opening and thus help Mrs. Carolina. Carolina gives Andrés some instructions on how to behave in the detective's presence, but accidentally calls her "mother," and Padilla discovers that "Sister Celeste" is actually Carolina Robles.
