Celeste convinces Mother Gustava to return to the city before nightfall, but on the way out they meet Óscar, who is interested in talking to her. The Mother Superior tells Sister Celeste that the women at the boarding house treat her as if she were “crazy”, and she tells her that she will pay more attention, as she hadn't noticed. Sister Celeste assures Óscar that he is a good-hearted man, but he likes to pretend otherwise. Óscar assures Andrés that he has a great relationship with Sister Celeste, but he knows that she is a nun and that he can't look at her.
