In August 1988, 10-year-old Delphine Boulay disappeared while attending a scout camp in Calvados. Her body was found some twenty kilometers from the camp on September 6. Gérard Lebourg, aged 29, was taken into custody and eventually made a full confession. On May 20, 1992, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for the abduction, rape and murder of Delphine Boulay.
