The two are incredibly close and Nancy is Lynsie's primary caregiver after a car accident left one side of Lynsie's body partially paralyzed. One night in 2001, unbeknownst to her mother, Lynsie plans to travel to Spring Break hot-spot San Diego for a night of clubbing with friends. But when Lynsie doesn't arrive home the next day, her Mom suspects something has gone horribly wrong.
