In this video we make some fun SiCl4 from silicon metal and chlorine!
I ideally would have used all glass joints and adapters but I didn't have the supplies to be able to do that. It was suggested by blogfast25 on ScienceMadness that maybe the red stuff was a reaction of the chlorine with the rubber adapters.
