After several threats, the villain manages to convince one of the workers to blame Alba for everything that happened. Having decided his future, Leonel delivers a stern warning to Alba. Certain that she and her family caused the fire that took his daughter, the farmer promises the teacher that their marriage will be filled with pain and suffering. Falling into Atocha's trap, Leonel discovers who is behind the fire on his property. Furious, he confronts the townspeople, believing he has been betrayed. With the complicity of a doctor, Covadonga pretends to undergo a delicate operation just to keep his grandchildren worried.
