Gary Hilton believed that society was causing all of his problems and he wanted to live a life of solitude in the forest with his dog. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to sustain that lifestyle financially and decided that he would just steal that money from other people who were taking advantage of the national forests. He would wait for them to enter the woods and make sure they were never seen again.
