Since 1917, Felix Dzerzhinsky was not only the creator and head of the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission. After the Civil War, he was engaged in the restoration of the national economy. Dzerzhinsky was responsible for the work of transport, the organization of the NEP and much more, without which Soviet Russia would probably have crumbled under the weight of the post-war devastation.
