Farideh prepares the rice by soaking it and boiling it till semi-cooked, while Manouch chimes in with his tahdig tips and tricks. Together, they add the partially cooked rice into a pan lined with olive oil, butter, saffron, and turmeric. The result is perfectly fluffy rice with a crispy, savory crust. Manouch approves.
