First Man | Based on a True Story (2019x20)

First Man is enigmatic and procedural, rather than bombastic and triumphal, which may have scared some moviegoers and critics. It tackles tougher questions than any previous film, and does so with all the ambiguity it can muster, so I get why it wasn’t a huge success. But ambiguity is desperately needed in Hollywood, especially with over-glorified history such as this.
