The Estelle Mouzin affair began on January 9, 2003, with the disappearance of Estelle Mouzin, a 9-year-old girl returning from school in Guermantes, Seine-et-Marne. For fifteen years, no serious clues to her disappearance were found. Since 2018, the investigation has focused on serial killer Michel Fourniret, already sentenced to life imprisonment in other cases, who died in May 2021, and his partner, Monique Olivier. At the end of 2023, the latter was sentenced to life imprisonment for her involvement in three murders, including that of Estelle Mouzin, whose body was never found.
