Philippe Garrec, communications director for a subsidiary of a pharmaceutical laboratory, is found dead, horribly mutilated: he has been emasculated. Nadia Lintz, investigating judge, inherits the investigation. She comes into contact with Commander Rovère, who must support her in her investigations. Unfortunately for her, the police officer shows an undeniable penchant for alcohol. However, he manages to practice his profession without making too many waves. The judge first questions the victim's wife, who has collapsed.
