Just after beating up her present partner, slaughterhouse worker Rocky, he learns the truth. Rotterdam is infested by rats. Emma stubbornly goes ahead with a media circus on the launch of Noordermeer's "aquajet"-innovation. Max and Charlotte desperately try to make it work or slow her down, in vain, even reputedly strict inspector Stoelmuller is already bribed-off. Jacob's correspondence proves what Charlotte's tests would confirm hadn't Niels ruined the prototype while she has car-sex with Ad: it can't work. Disaster is waiting to happen.
