The working practices of the Thorvaldsens' Nursery were for the longest time harmful and infants were subjected to bad treatment, just like at the Nursery at Hlíðarenda. We talk to a mother who lost her baby in the nursery and was then only allowed to look at it through a glass. Attempts to change practices at the institution are discussed and how the public sector tried for years to silence all criticism. Then the persons who stayed there return and describe the effects of the accommodation. Some of them even remember the stay.
