Jeremiah Moss moved to New York in the 90s, which he calls a "Harold and Maude" story. He started a blog in 2007 to chart the disappearance of beloved small businesses in his neighborhood, forming the basis of his book, "Vanishing the New York: How a Great City Lost Its Soul."
