A coach carrying elderly passengers crashed at the bottom of a steep hill near Hebden in North Yorkshire, England, on May27, 1975. Thirty-three people on board, including the driver, were killed, and thirteen others were injured. In terms of fatalities, it was the worst-ever road accident in the United Kingdom.
