Sven Tumba is at the peak of his career. He is the first Swede to play in the NHL and win World Cup gold in ice hockey three times. In addition, he has managed to marry Mona Nessim despite her parents' strong opposition. In this family story, Mona ends up in the middle of the two most important men in her life - Tumba and her own father Nils. Dad is a globetrotter and successful businessman. Sven is the entrepreneur with a thousand scattered ideas. In the press he is described as a millionaire, but in reality Mona often doesn't have the money to buy food for her children. Things do not get any better from Sven's many affairs with other women. After a long hockey career, Tumba becomes a national team player in golf. He dreams of becoming part of world politics and invites the presidents of the Soviet Union and the United States to a meeting at his golf course in Moscow.
