An animator becomes one of his characters, in a dark, part-animated thriller. Mondo is a talented animator steeped in a world of violent animation. His greatest success is remorseless assassin Jack Savage. But his boss Vicky - with whom he once had a fling - wants to cancel Jack and for Mondo to create animation that will appeal to a wider audience. But every time he tries to create a new character, it turns into something nasty. So Mondo visits Henry Field, a big name in feature animation, and his world warps into part-animation as he imagines that Field is offering Jack Savage a final contract: to kill Vicky. Mondo - fast becoming Jack Savage in his head - sets off to the studio to find Vicky.
